We are seeking to appoint a hardworking and reliable Apprentice Administrative Assistant – focused on supporting behaviour and pastoral student services team – including monitoring, creating reports, letters, collating work and inclusion/exclusion paperwork, making calls as necessary.

 

The postholder will work in the student services office, supporting the behaviour and pastoral teams by assisting with tracking and reporting on behaviour, following administration procedures/policies of the Academy, and supporting the staff and students.  Responsibilities will include providing reception and administrative support as required, running reports from behaviour systems including Behaviour Watch, supporting in administration of detentions, sanctions, IEU, behaviour paperwork, letters and communication of such to all parties.

 

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be a good team player and enjoy working around young people. The job will involve typing letters and emails, answering the phone, using the school’s management information system, dealing with parental enquiries and general office administration and behaviour tracking/reporting.

Requirements

 What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Good standard of literacy, numeracy and communication skills
  • 5 GCSEs including English and Maths (minimum Grade D or equivalent in English and Maths)
  • Good organisational and time management skills and the ability to cope with interruptions
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Confident and friendly telephone manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Office administration experience would be an advantage
  • Excellent typing/PC skills to include Microsoft Office/Office 365
